That sounds a litle blunt and narrow minded, but right now it's supposed to! All I'm after right now is a good scare. A thrill. Feeling the need to push my limits...safely. Would be nice to hit something huge that's already been done and proven, but I'm definately not against breaking in new ground if there's someone there hesitating on a nugget. Someone shout out, winters on the way and then it's mild trail time. I'm looking for something in the way of canyon(gully) gaps, road gaps, stepdowns, stepups, etc. Not much for hucks, I like my thrills to require a little skill, not just balls, ya' know? Anyone?
Make your way to Duluth...if you can find it. You'll have fun.
PS: should have been at devil's den this weekend, that would have given you a good scare, nothing like blazing downhill over sharp pointy rocks at 20+ mph that are covered with nice thick mud!

Man, that sounds good. Our local DH was canceled due to the "lift being down." I would have pushed everyone's bikes to the top to race something!
I USUALLY vacation near Duluth every summer. This year I said I didn't want to becaus there's no friggin riding in MN. There's a little kick in the mouth! Where can I get more info?
I'm also sure you've got something stashed away... share, damnit! You'll have to bring your crew down here this November for the annual Bike Bash. Set around the premiere of the NWD series and this year should have Kranked 6 as well. In 04 we had Mike Kinrade, Joe Shwartz, Shawn Denny, and Josh Bender as guests. Last year we had Shaums March and he was really fuggin cool, would like to see him again this year, but it sounds like the host(Andrew Cycles in Norfolk, NE) will be toning it down due to costs. Last year we had an insane freeride/DJ comp, this year expect a day of grab a shovel and build something sick. I'm stoked, I HATE comps.

Riding more technical things sounds like fun. Are there any group rides I can tag along on to see these places?

Well, short notice, but anything going on this weekend? My wife and kids are headin out of town, I planned on doing nothing but crankin and it's raining EVERYWHERE. I don't mind so much, but no one else will ride, the pansies! So, I'm down with anything within 8 hours of me. Who's got somethin yummy to ride? Hmmm...that doesn't sound right.... Who's got something good to ride my BIKE on?

How long are the runs? Not that it really matters, 20 feet of perfect single track is worth a mile of pushing...

i'm not sure where exactly to find some. i was up there for the first time two weeks ago and they have a pretty gnarly downhill. its nice... you could defenitely hurt yourself on it if that what your going for. im sure buck or someone from that neck of the woods will see this and hopefully direct you to some new pics.

I'm down with the DH, but I need to feed my hunger for some flowy elevated stuff right now. Unless the DH run is riddled with booters and berms... I just need some trails really bad. Tried to get to Keystone but found out too late that THIS weekend is their season ender. I'm bummed.

I heard there is a cool road gap on the south side of the twin cities. It is a stepup: close to 10' up and 20' out. It has a nice long downhill run in and everything. To my knowledge it's only been tried once. The guy laughed all the way through the air cause he though he was gonna just come up a bit short, but then he broke his leg off. Thanks for the help Thor and Tracy.
