This is a cool product. TAXC makes an assembly compound that increasees the friction between mated surfaces that allows you to get to stop slipping without over torquing the bolts. They just calll it TACX assembly compound carbn.

It saved the day once so far. we had an easton stem with carbon face plate and easton carbon bars. I torqued the faceplate bolts to specwa (6nm) and it the bars wre slipping. We called easton and they said "well just tighten them to 8nm, still slipped. That's when we ordered the TACX stuff. It's seems like it's just a gritty gel, kinda like toothpaste.

Any risk of it starting to slip down the road?

Was the diamater of the bar out of spec and too small for the stem?

seems easton has an issue if both the bar and stem were theres.

They were a good fit to each other. The bar didn't have a roughed up surface though. I roa
