FIRST-CLASS MOUNTAIN BIKE RACING

**‘Murphy Mountain Bike Sprint Series’ Begins August 23**

Take part in the first of three 10K mountain bike sprints at the “Murphy Mountain Bike Sprint Series,” 5:30-
9 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 23, at Murphy-Hanrehan Park Reserve, Savage.

The glacial ridges and hilly terrain of northeastern Scott County make Murphy-Hanrehan Park Reserve one of the most challenging mountain biking areas in the Twin Cities. Experience this gem in your backyard and test your biking skills at a series of 10K sprint races featuring a mass start, awards and door prizes.

Registration is $10 per person. Racers must be 14 years or older and helmets are required. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m., and the race starts at 6:30 p.m. Co-sponsored by Freewheel Bike, the Sprint Series includes a race on Aug. 30 and Sept. 6.

Murphy-Hanrehan Park Reserve is located at 15501 Murphy Lake Road near Prior Lake on County Road 75. From I-35W, take County Road 42 west to County Road 27, turn south on 27, then east on 154th Street, then south on County Road 75 to the park entrance. Murphy-Hanrehan Park Reserve is operated by Three Rivers Park District.
