I doubt that there are any out there, but I'm looking for a used 17.5" or 19" alum. or steel 29er frame (needs to be V-brake compatible). An old Karate Monkey or Fisher frame would be perfect (and technically pretty much the only options...). Would prefer to keep the cost around 100-125 or so... (wishful thinking I know)

Would like to build up something as a second/winter bike as I've grown attached to my main ride enough that I really don't want to subject it to the snow and ice again.

You're going to be hard pressed to find something in that price range. You can score a new Redline 29er SS for $450 or less for a complete bike. Great value.
