Could someone recomend a bike that I can ride at trails like Leb. or Theo. but can also handle urban terrain, too. Thanks.

Specialized Hard Rock.
I'll second that motion! Big time! I owned 2 and they are excellent for just starting out with. At least until you figure out what type of full suspension bike you want.

Well...I ride an 06 Specialized Epic Rim and I love it so I'll recommend that. I had a Trek 4100 hardtail prior to that and after riding the Epic I will probably never go back to a hardtail again.

Get a Specialized P-Bike or a Cannondale Chase.

p bike or a chase, yes you can do anything and everything with those, from xc racing all the way to pure downhill. you can pull off the same with the hardrock for less, thats what i've been doin. i bought mine for xc racing and ended up putin 150 on the front for the past year and never broke the headtube off, ther very strong

How much are you looking to spend?
Agreed cost is going to play a huge factor in this mix. You can get a $200 beater all the way up to spending several grand on a dream machine. Find an old frame and single speed it for simplicity great for all trails and will handle urban as well without fear of destroying any der.

Western suburbs crew? Pff... whatever! 12 or 14 years ago my "crew" totally PWN3D all of the elite trails at Big Willow Park, Lone Lake and Purgatory Creek. Oh, and don't forget about that 1 mile of singletrack behind Minnetonka city hall! crazy sick :p:eyeroll:
