LRT and Bike Crash at 46th and Hiawatha

Even though I just biked by where the accident happened I didn't realize what had happened until my mom called me to make sure I wasn't the one hit. Saw it all taped off, but I assumed it was just another dumb ass car driver.

Happened right by the 46th street station.

Edit: Hiawatha, not Minnehaha. My bad.

Bicyclist killed after being hit by Light Rail train
A man is dead after being hit by a Light Rail train in Minneapolis. It happened just after 5:00 p.m. Monday near the intersection of 46th and Hiawatha. Investigators are still processing the scene, but traffic in the area is backed up. Metro Transit is taking passengers off trains at 38th and Hiawatha and using buses for the rest of the trip.

dude i saw it happen it was f#@&'d up. it just goes to show you that is where bike riders get their bad name.
