Ok, so I have Avid BB7's on my Prophet. My back brake works just fine but my front one just doesn't grab hardly at all. I have the lever and tension set up exactly like the rear and still no grab, it just sloooowly functions. I took Porter's advice and boiled my pads and guess what, now the back brake REALLY works and the front is still sluggish.
What gives??? Thanks in davance for your 2 cents.

Can you post pictures of your brakes? Preferably in released position and while being operated.

Everything else being equal - pad life, clearance, lever throw, etc. - your pads may still be bunk. Try swapping pads front to rear and see what you get.
Remember - the mud trick really works.

I be swapping pads out. I think I got a poopy set on the front end. After I switched them around (which I should have done first before posting, duh) The back wasn't working up to snuff. Thanks guys.
