So I was out riding tonight and my dumb spring in my Progressive 5th Element decided to snap on me. Ya, I know, kinda wierd, but it happened. I wasn't even doing anything crazy, just hitting a small dirt jump and PING, snapped.

So... I am looking to get a new spring and having some troubles. I hunted around the web tonight and couldn't find much information. The spring I have in it right now is a 2.5x475 and I can't find that anywhere. I would be open to getting a stiffer spring, but I don't really know what will work with all the different sizes. One I was interested in though was a 3x550 spring. It is a progressive 5th element spring so i am assuming it would fit, but I'm not sure. I always assumed that I would need to get a spring with the same stroke, 2.5 inches. Would te 3 inch fit?

If anybody can shed some light on the subject, it'd be much appreciated. Riding wih a broken rear spring is pretty gehto...

The 3 x 550 should work if you have the adjustment range to fit the extra free length which is probably a bit more than the 1/2 inch of extra travel.
Is there a spec online for the spring dimensions?
