Jeff is having a meeting with Spirit Mountain to see where and when we can build sections. Either way I think we will be starting to build tommorow. Should be prety easy to come up with good lines.

Anybody besides the regulars coming?

Trialsdave

Sounds like we might be short some regulars. Whoever reads this and is remotely intersted in trials should show up!!!!

We had 8 riders in all, 5 from the last comp didn't show up but we had three new riders, two newbes and one from out of retirement.

I thought everything went superbly. Riders were challenged in all skill levels. Due to time constraints and general laziness only two loops were completed.

I would like to thank everyone that came out and rode in the event, especially Mike A. it is always good to see new faces. Results below. I will be getting some pics soon. I am sure Drew will get some posted as well.

Due to an simple arithmetic error on account of myself, Drew actually got first place in the Sport division by 1 point.

Beginner
Mike Myers ..............25
Brad Wourms ...........32

Sport
Drew Guttormson .....30
Mike Andert .............31
John Seip ..................38
Jeff Nelson ................41

Expert
Rudy .........................27
Trials Dave ................41

From talking to Drew, it sounds like it was a good time. I am looking forward to some pics and stories.

Also, cool to hear that an old school rider came back to teach the young pups a lesson or two.

This got me thinking too about future comps. One thing I think would be cool is to have the experts compete on regular mtbs in the sport sections. Might be a lot of fun and show the xc people that you don't need a super-special bike to enjoy yourself.

Or, for the hardy upper-midwesterners, a comp held in the dead of winter  Maybe that kind of thing would be better suited for a group ride 'fun comp' type deal though...
