Sick. You gotta come hit jumps with Thor and I and tell us how it was when it dries up.
So here goes sorry for the crappy size...
Got there on Wednesday and shot the A-line DH, which was awesome, they go craaaazy fast!!! Lopes took that which makes sense since he is all about racer steez.
Thursday we had the good 'ol Crankworx slopestyle practice...oh my god...all about tricking big this year, not a whole lot of tech stuff on the course, go big with style or don't go at all. Met Aaron Chase on Thursday right after he fukt his hand up on a spine doing these crazy spin things. Super cool kat. Later on in the day we went over to the Red Bull Jumps. and watched these two spanish guys throw down like no ones business, by the end of the week they were both down for the count, I watched one shatter both his heels flipping the Red Bull Jumps, and the other tried to b-flip down the step down drop, which was friggin HUGE! These guys will take over the scene very very soon! Watched a guy try to trials hop of the Giro box to zero landing had to be a solid 15' drop...let me tell you doesn't work...ouch...
Friday was all about practice and qualifying, fukn cool man, I don't know all the riders so if your really interested I'm sure it can be found some where...highlights, 15 yr old kid made it on to finals...he was sending it hard, hell clickers, b-flips, things like that very very cool. Vanderham was killing the course with MASSIVE amplitutde bigger then any one else all weekend, is moto whip rock!!! Later in the day we hooked up with a couple of the slopestyle guys and went and toured the new air dome, where they have a HUGE foam pit, bro'd down with Cam McCaul and Cam Zink while they were trying some new stuff in to the pit, super cool guys. No stills from there cuz I was using a HD cam...not mine(I wish though!)
Saturday, FINals!!!!! Pretty crazy stuff went down, people were b-flipping this HUGE dirt step down. Paul Bas was trying to 720 the step up after the step down, which was nutty...he came so close. In the end Zink took numero uno, McCaul took number two, and Kayodic Kyle snaked in at number three. All youngins that were chargin' the course harder then the rest of the crowd. My favorites though are Vanderham and his endless amount of big mountain style!!
