I have been looking into new bikes and saw some mongoose bikes and I don't very much about their bikes so if anybody has had good or bad experiences with thier bikes or if you think their good or bad please tell me.

Stay away from mongoose, they make some decent bikes but they also sell to walmart. That should tell you something, I'd look into companies like Klein, Kona, Trek, Gary Fisher, Santa Cruz, Specialized, etc... It really depends how much your willing to throw down, b/c you could easily spend thousands if you wanted to.

Yeaaah..mongooses...worse quality then Daewoos.;) Id go with the "S" brands, specialized and santa cruz. But actually anything that was named below is a great bike, those are just my favorites.

Hope ya have a good hunt.

I have a mongoose 98 nx 7.5 Hardtail. Its Great. Light and does what I need it to.

Find a Mongoose dealer. Dont shop at sportmart, dicks, walmart, etc..

I think the big thing about the bike is how your plan on riding and fitting the best frame geomerty and components for your riding style.
