Denture tablets. They work great for cleaning the bladder and hose. Get a small cleaning brush for the hose and you should be set to go.

I don't use mine much, but I just use soap. I thought that was enough...

...Am I getting all the cooties out with soap & water???

Cleans out your insides too.

Just make sure to wash it out really well afterwords. A little bleach isn't bad (I don't think) but it isn't tasty.

Use mouth wash.

Listerine. Kills the germs and gives you fresh breath. Use a capful with some water, slosh it around (don't forget the tube and bite valve) and rinse.

I've been using dish soap and water. I like the denture cleaner idea, though, and especially the Listerine idea!

I tried the dish soap once and ended up blowing bubbles whilst cruising the Arizona singletrack. :jumpy: And it tasted yucky.

See, what I do after I wash with dish soap is I also rinse the bladder.

I know, radical concept. ;)

Well, I might be exaggerating on the bubble part, but even with a good rinse I couldn't seem to shake the taste. Same with bleach. Maybe it was in my head. I will say the Listerine is a terrific solution (and not because I said it!). I had a bladder that had been sitting for a few months and was a bit rank. A few minutes of sloshing at full strength it was almost new.
