Probably is a VHS to DVD rip because they have yet to release it on DVD. I know I have a VCD version around somewhere.

It was On TV this weekend IN HD... It great to see how far bmx has changed.

Saw it on INHD this weekend also... I just couldn't help myself... I tried to flip away but I just kept coming back to it.

If I had a HD-DVR I would have ripped it down and made a DVD/HD-DVD out of it...

but no luck.. sorry....

I liked how the qualifying race looked more like our typical Mountain Bike XC Course than a BMX Track. Thought that rooty downhills was NOT sustainable.

I downloaded my copy from somewhere like Kazaa/limewire sites out there. Probably still available on some Blockbuster shelf out there.

Since y'all haven't figured it out yet - "Rad" has never been released on DVD, and is out-of-print on VHS. The only way you can get a copy right now is a bootleg.

As I sat watching RAD on Sunday, I couldn't help but wonder who they had dress up like a girl to do Lori's stunts. I looked in the credits and so no female names in the stunt riders....

Maybe she did all her own, who knows....

BikerFox had to have been a fan of hers however, as she had on a 1 piece, deep-V front lycra skinsuit when she was watching the Cru during the final race on Hell Track.

Pat Romano.....yep....he dressed up like a girl. I hate to say it, but I know way too much about this movie and who was in it. Keep in mind, those were the days I rode both BMX and Freestyle and it was my life. Not much different today except that I have 26" wheels now.....:)

They definately had some carts assembled that they had bikes (sans wheels) mounted to so that Lori could do things like framestands and cruise across the screen.

It might have been cheesy but it did have some pretty fun little actions sets built into it and it kind of a cult classic.
