How about we make a trail that is everything for everybody!!!

It will morph right in front of your eyes to your skill level and desired riding style. That rock ahead look too daunting? It will smooth out so you can ride it without fear. That same rock not rad enough to jump off of? It will grow with a perfect launch pad and you can fly through the air without a care!!!

I think this idea can take off into other things! I hate having a 55 mph speed limit so it should change just for me to go 80! But I hate people speeding down my street with no regard for my kids playing, so speed bumps will apear just for them but not me.

WTF is wrong with people, especially lately on this site. I am really getting tired of this bull about this trail sucks and that trail needs this and that, blah, blah, blah.

ENJOY THE TRAILS WHILE WE HAVE THEM PEOPLE AND STFU!!!!!!

If you have a problem with that you can meet me and tell me that to my face. I am tired of people saying crap on this site that they would never back up if they had to say the same thing face to face with someone.

The trails and this website are a privelidge used by the priveleged (me included) so stop acting like a bunch of friggin babies!

I am sorry to the admins of the site that I have to waste HD space and the people this is meant for won't listen anyway, but I just had to say something.

Thank you trail crews and everyone who helps out morc and promotes trails!!!!!!!!

And admins like John Lundell (gopherhockey) and others, I think you are more then fair in dealing with poeple who are basically disrespectful to you on this site at times.

I will stop now before I blow a gasket. :jumpy:

You have a valid point and I agree. What I think is happening is that the sport is changing rather quickly and we are doing our best to evolve with newer trends, which may not just be trends, and so on. Some people just don't like the legal and slower process that we must go through to evolve. Instead of getting involved and helping out, they find it easier to complain.

We have said it many times before. If you don't like the trails, get involved. Otherwise, you might as well not even bother to complain about it.

Thanks for the props dude!!!

Or words that can be made out of the letters in "Meat" such as team....

The other end of the spectrum is to remember that not every comment is a complaint about the trails. Sometimes it's easy to intrerpret something in writing other than how it was intented to be. We need constructive criticism and feedback in order to keep things growing, and with that comes the negative aspects as well.

All in all, the trails have really shown great improvements over the last couple years!

It would be nice if people would start out with a 'thank you' for all of the work that went into bringing the trail to where it is now before they critique.

i completely agree, if you want change then work for it instead of complaining. btw, i hope this is not about the thread i started yesterday since i was asking for approval for the change and ready to do the work. ie: not complaining

kudos to the morc team! i love this new hobby and pumped for my ride today.

You sir are entitled to many many royalties. It needs to be said, that if you cant ride it, just go around.
By the way....When can we expect to see this "morphing" trail of yours. I have a flux capacitor on loan if you'd like my assistance.

Ok. If you disagree with any of my posts I'm happy to discuss with you in person. I can only make Leb on weekend mornings these days due to kid duties.

Cheers and thanks for the honesty.

It wasn't any 1 post, it was a culmination of the year and a half I have been on this site. Maybe I should have backed it up with some specific examples, but I didn't want to turn it into that type of topic.

My intention was to make everyone aware that we need to really think about what we are saying before we put it on a forum. People do have feelings and we tend to miss that on a forum where we are not face to face.

I normally don't get involved with the "discussions" about trail building, and that is why I probably never responded when I felt a topic was getting out of hand or disrespectful. I just hoped the thread would die so I don't have to see it come up on my list of new responses.

I do want to say that I am all for constructive discussions, concerns, questions and ideas, just not all the pissing and moaning when things don't go a persons way. When a trail boss or any trail worker has to post and say "well then why don't you come out and help build it and give your input" the topic has already gone to far.

Its just a personal preference, but I just feel trail ideas are for the trail on the trail. And sorry if anyone felt that this was directed toward them, it wasn't my intention. Well it was, just no one in particular in this case. That is what a PM is for.

And Sean, we can certainly debate aspects of the trail... While we are riding and enjoying it or building it!! ;)

I remember the first time I rode Lebanon after the most stressful move from a trail I loved in another State. I thought I would never find something like it that was 'close-by' and over 10 miles in length. My best buddy Dan mentioned a couple of trails including Lebanon. This was when the fireroad was still there in late 2002 and I remember having to ride it twice to get just under an hour's ride in. I think it was about 5 miles in length total. But I was so thankful and upbeat about it. Then the new blue was added and the fireroad was closed amidst some complaints. Then came the small bridge in the x loop and the xx loop was developed along with the Dream Trail. I rode that loop the first week it was open with my buddy Dan, and he dragged me around it 3 times! These past couple of years we've traveled to other States to ride and yet every time I come home and ride this place, I feel thankful I have this excellent trail system just 50 minutes from me. I love how it keeps evolving (although those new log piles have me "stumped" ). But, that is what keeps me wanting to learn. Thank you guys *Throws steak and beer*.
