View Full Version : Can you recommend a trail with good ledges?

Right now my favorite trail is Leb. My favorite part of the trail is the biggest ledge drop on the XX loop right before big 180 degree curve with the steep rock bypass option. I love the feeling of pulling up on the bars or hopping at just the right moment and sailing through the air to enjoy a calm stillness before hitting the ground for even more fun.

I've heard that there's a height restriction for obstacles at at Leb. (which I understand) and I was wondering if anyone can help me find a trail where I might find even more joy in a slightly prolonged moment of calm stillness per a slightly larger ledge drop (not so long that joy turns into terror though). Or perhaps a trail that really features ledges. Any suggestions?

Thanks, Matt

Would be nice if we could have a section of trail with incremental drops side by side wher you have the option of launching from 0 - 5 foot with a landing on a down slope. Flat or uphill landing are no good.

There's a few drops on the 'expert' trail at Memorial in RW. A couple small ones on the old DH course at Spirit too.

Otherwise, you'll have to hit up some urban if you want a fix in the TC for now.

Mammoth has jumps which are pretty much high speed drops. There is 2-3' one on the skull loop. It has alot more to test your abilities. I can ride everything at Leb while Mammoth has (3) areas I always mess up on. I can ride the Log of Death I but "II", the long log ride, is real tough for me(mind over matter, I know).
