He barely made the downside. Wow....that was a big gap jump. Note to you freeriders.....20" wheels....no suspension.......:D

No brains either.

The size isn't spectacular from a freeriding stand point. Stuff that big and BIGGER goes down all the time, by pros and non-pros alike. Just pick up a copy of BIKE. The fact that its on pavement, with no suspension, no armor, and no helmet, that's pretty impressive....or insane....take your pick.

Definately bigger than I care to go. :crazy2:

It was pretty smooth given the setup. Watch Garrett Byrnes section in 'Seek and Destroy' (little devil video from... 1997-98?) there is a gap in New Jersey off a tiered two story school building he does that's a bit bigger - It's been in ride too, but back when ride was a good magazine - I saw a current issue and it feels like I'm reading a Target catalog or something - what happened to BMX? Big gaps used to be my thing when I rode 20's and I have to say I'm 100x more impressed by that gap than just about anything I've seen by most so-called-pro freeriders do. There are a few riders out there who I like watching do big (in 26" terms) gaps - but they all can win downhill races too. I'm frankly sick of seeing any new MTB films lately with exception to any of the Earthed series or any other race films. It seems to me that if you took any 3 of the top 100 bmxers that refuse to ride a 26" and put them on a MTB a day before Crankworxs, there would be the podium. I don't mean to trash talk, but I hear too much talk about how BMXers don't go as big as MTBers do. I for one can not understand how i used to do what I did on a 20, It hurts my wrists to hop off a freeking curb on my 20 these days, stupid suspension. My respect to all those who still can rip on the 20's - they're better than you and me, I'm jealous.

I wasn't trying to dis. I agree, BMXers have a long history of throwing down, and no doubt, will always throw down harder than the 26ers. I was just trying to trash talking Shad for his constant comparison of BMXers to Freeride MTBing. Two different animals in my opinion. BMX is way too gnar for me.
