Thought I better open up this thread in case any women out there in MORCville want to post up responses to what the dudes are talkin' about over in "their" thread, since we're not allowed to "cross-pollinate" anymore.
HA!
Men, feel free to post here as well.
;)
I didn't mind the see-thru comment, except that I would've used the word "clear" instead. Semantics.
Fishnet shirts bring back memories. I actually saw someone wearing one last summer -- scared me so badly I almost fell off my bike.

Last night I was riding through the UofM campus and I saw someone wearing a pair of big high tops without laces and the tounge of the shoe pulled out. Boy I really hope that trend doesn't come back.
I think I'm gonna tight roll my jeans tomorrow.

My sister-in-law is knitting my niece leg warmers. LEG WARMERS, what is the world coming to. No this is not a joke. I thought with global warming those things would no longer be necessary.

Hey, I still do that. :redface2: Luckily it's too hot to wear jeans, so I think I'll wait a few months.

Not all women agree with you on this. Maybe they don't want to post up about it, and I guess I can see why.
If it was in a different thread, I would not have done anything about it. Charles wanted to know what color shirts women wanted and specifically asked for a woman's opinion. That was the issue at hand. Charles even posted and seemed a bit frustrated. Like I said before, some people strongly agree with me and some be strongly disagree. The life of a moderator.....:)

I am not offended by those kinds of comments, and really I didn't even pause at the see-through shirt one. Other comments that come close to "crossing a line" don't bother me but definitely give me an instant opinion the author. Usually I just think that person is a big moron who is overcompensating for something. So post away and we girls will just know who to look out for ;)

I like this. As for most of the forums go, this works just fine. If there is a thread targeted specifically for women, skill session, t-shirt colors, or whatever, please post on topic please.....that's all I ask.

Maybe if someone wants specific opinions of specific groups of people, they should ask that people PM them instead of posting. Open the thread, ask the question/request responses via PM, close the thread.
I don't think it's realistic to ask 85% (heck, it's probably a HIGHER percentage of men than that!) of the people who read this forum not to weigh in with their opinion, especially in a case like this, where many of the people *did* just want to offer opinions on behalf of/thinking of their SOs. Also, it's not like the thread said anything, IMO, to forbid men from posting.
It also might give better results that way, without everyone having to read everyone else's strong opinions. I felt like I'd get lambasted if I posted up that I like pink...who knew mountain biking women hated pink and flowers so much. ;)
Sometimes, as sensitive as some people can get on these forums, it's difficult to post, trying to remain completely PC, unoffensive, and non-biased. Some people just freak out about anything and those people annoy the bejeezus out of me -- they take the fun(ny) out of life.
I'm not trying to get this debate going again, I just wanted to offer up a better option for next time, so people don't get their panties in a bunch.
Ah, crap, is it offensive to say "panties" on here? #$%^

I didn't mind people posting their opinions publicly. In fact, I wanted to have a little back and forth between people on the issue of colors, styles and what they'd want to wear. And for the most part, that's what happened.
I was a little disappointed that some comments went in the most predictably juvenile directions. Not surprised, just disappointed. Must mean I'm getting old(er).
I mean, if you're going to be obnoxious, at least be original. ;)

It's alright since most people posting on this board wear "manties", that is man panties.

Off-topic- Charles - I would buy yoga shirts with the MORC logo for my lady if you sold them.

That's mostly on-topic.
I guess it depends on the definition of yoga shirt. The shirts we're looking at right now are women's fit T-shirts. They're cotton, not dri-fit or anything like that. One could conceivably wear them to yoga, but I guess one could conceivably wear a hockey jersey to yoga. Suffice it to say that they are not yoga-specific.
