View Full Version : DESPERATE!! for QR20 clamps
So I have had a lot of problems in the past with my QR20 clamps on my Jr. T breaking and coming loose. Well, while I was working on my bike trying to fix the blown derailer, which I got done last night, I went to put my front wheel and noticed that my front QR20 axle clamp thingy broke off and was nowhere to be seen. Not good...
For those of you that don't know what I am talking about, I am running the 2004 (I think) Marzocchi Junior T and they are set up to run a 20mm through axle. To make it "easier" for people to take their front wheel off, they made a "quick release" system that still needs a tool, explain that.
If anybody can find me a clamp for a QR20 fork dropout like I have been talking about, I would owe you big time. I know I have ordered them in the past, but it took a long to get in and I need my bike in good shape by saturday for the Muddy River race.
Possibly, if some one wants to loan me a clamp ASAP, I could get an order in ASAP for a new one and give you that when it comes in. Just an idea...
bump... come on... this worked well with my derailer problem....

Thor, your fork won't work with the older style 20mm. clamps, will it? If you remember my Banshee, I have a Marz. Super T 2002 model. If these will work for you let me know. But I think you have a newer design than mine.
We could swap one of the flaps off my Z150 over to yours between runs.........
I am pretty sure that I have the first "quick release" concept they came out with....
Pete... if you read this, what do I have?

Thor, which "flap" are you missing? The one that holds the axle to the fork lowers, or the one that holds the flap that holds the axle to the fork lowers?

I'm pretty sure Troy's Super T is the same as the 04s, which are pictured above.

Mine is not like the picture that Pete posted up. Mine is held in place by an allen screw. The picture that Pete shows is the new design. If you use the old style Thor, give me a call. Pete or Buck should have my number.
Thanks for the pic Pete. This is the part I need......
I believe this is Troy's fork, but I'm still not certain what is going on at the drop out, looks like it has the flap Thor needs, but the pic is too shiny to tell....

Crap, this is from the 2002 Super T manual. Looks like the "flap" hooks into the fork lowers and then is bolted in vertically. The 2003 + MY QR20s used a flap with a hole though its width that was "hinged" with a long rivet to the fork lower.
Damn.

That's my fork alright. But in 2003 they changed over to your kind of quick release design. I have to unscrew an allen screw with a wrench to release the clamp. Mine is more of a pain in the A$$ then the new style.

I should have thought of using that picture you just posted Pete. Sorry Thor, I can't help you out.
Thanks for the efforts guys. I ended up ordering the clamps through Marzocchi and they are being overnighted to me as of this morning. Thanks again.
