Meet at the Battle Creek Rec. Center off of Winthrop.

We'll be doing some more trail clearing and possibly some finishing work on the Wall of Death.

Hope to see you there!

I plan to be there after work. As usual, I can put in an hour or so while my wife and kids play at the park.

Transplant and I will be out there riding tomorrow morning, 7/8, around 7AM. I'll post any new trail conditions that may need to be addressed.

Also, the Wall of Death is holding up nicely. I have been out there 5 times since we lugged all that rock. It will be great to possibly finish it off on Monday.

Tom Morrissey and I rode BC this morning and the trails are in great shape overall. We stopped and fixed a few minor things here and there. The long switchback climb is now cleaned up I see. Thanks to whoever did that!!

I did notice a lot of fireworks trash lying all over the switchback climb, however. I'll try to get there early on Monday and clean things up a bit.

Hi guys--

Much as I regret it, I'm probably going to miss this week and the next. MBA midterms, yay.

Oh, and I've now successfully made it down the re-worked Wall o' Death. :D

[Of course, I promptly wiped again on my second try.]

Have fun--M.

I plan to be there...if I can find it. I haven't been to Battle Creek in a few years, but I'd like to help with the trail work.

Jason- It'd be great to see ya out there. PM me if you need any better directions.

Matt- glad you conquered the turn. We'll catch ya in a few weeks.

We'll see the rest of you out there. Depending on group size we may split up tonight and tackle a couple of different things.

Looks like I will be able to make it. Sneaking out of work early. I should be there at 5:30, a shortly there after. I will get home a bit after 5, change, grab a bite to eat, and drive over.

Where should I try to find you if you are already out of the parking lot?

At least some of us will be working on the Goat Trail. This is the section of trail that runs parallel to lower afton rd. just before you get to Fern Gully. Easiest thing to do, would be to park along Battle Creek rd. and walk in.

See ya tonight.

We had a good session last night!

Finished trimming the switchback climb and did battle with the prehistoric size burdock "trees" that were growing on a few of the other trails around the bowl area.

As a bonus, we were able to deberm and widen a fallen away portion on the top of the Wall of Death.

Tom, Jason, Alan, Bill and Paul- thanks for coming out last night. I really appreciate your efforts!

I think we have things under control for the most part on the west side of the park now. We accomplished a lot last night. I'll ride BC again this weekend and post a problem report for future trail work.

I did notice some of the trail sections are beginning to crack. Now if we can just get some rain to help the trails a bit, not to mention my yard!
