Battle Creek Trail Work 6/12 @ 5:30

We will be having another work session on Monday night. Meet at the Winthrop St. parking lot at the Rec Center.

Long pants, gloves, and bug spray are reccommended.

We will be continuing to work on the "Wall of Death downhill" that comes out onto the tar trail along Battle Creek. If you come late, park in the lower lot at the end of Point Douglas Road near Hwy 61. Walk up the tar trail 'til you see my red truck.

We got a fair share of deberming done last week before the deluge came. We should be able to finish the deberming this week.

Thanks to all those that came out!!

We had a great night and completed all of the de-berming on the Wall of Death.

We started doing some re-working and solidifying of the eroding switchback that makes the turn down toward the tar path. Now called The Matterhorn Turn, in reference to the likeness of the rock that we placed to pin the corner at the top.

Next Week we will be staging rock to continue armoring the rest of the above downhill.

We will meet at the lower lot off of Hwy 61 at 5:30. I'll post another trailwork thread soon.
