So for almost 5 years I have lived within a 2 miles of Theo Worth Golf Course and I had no idea there was such a fun trail there! I just rode it last week and had a blast. I had to walk on many of the obstacles, but that's because I haven't ridden on trails for 10 years!

I did notice a post here about trails closed and people not respecting those trails...and what I read was news to me. I road on nice day and saw no water on the trails...but I hate to say that having never rode the trail, I would have never known not to ride a wet trail...especially because I was so busy just trying to figure out where I was and where I needed to go on the trail. Having said all that...have you guys thought of taking donations to create a sign at the beginning of the trails that lays out the rules and gives an understanding to how follow the trails.

Unfortunately I have a Mongoose IBOC from about 93 in pretty rough shape, so I don't know how much I will get on these trails...but they are awesome and super fun and I will have to see if I can somehow get that Kona I have been wanting and spend a summer enjoy some trail riding splendor! Cool trails guys and thanks for the info!!

Welcome to the forums. Glad you liked Theo. As you progress you'll find that MORC also has many other fine trails to offer. Oh, and don't worry about walking obstacles - it beats falling on your head (don't ask me how I know)!

Actually, we have five such signs at all the major entrances: Hwy 55 and Wirth Parkway, the entrance/exit from the south loop just 1/2 a mile from there, the service road entrance off Wirth Parkway, the entrance to the north loop off the service road and the North entrance near the sleep center.

Each of those spots has a detailed map with a flippable sign on top that usually reads "Open When Dry" and can be flipped to "Closed" when things are really bad (early Spring.)

We spent 3 grand on signs, nice ones with color ortho photos at 3 feet by 3 feet, there's 5 of the them, one at every entrance. And there's tons of carsonite signs on the trails.

What you have to do is go to our website, download a map from the documents section and print it off.

Thanks for the warm welcome to the site!

I stand corrected...I had no idea what I was doing. I was handed a printed out map from a couple that was leaving and I am not even sure where I entered the trail...it was at a fork in a service road. I didn't see any signs, so maybe I got on the trail in the wrong spot. Thanks for the corrections guys and I will have to look closer for them!

Got my old mongoose out and cleaned up today...now I just have to get it tuned up!

Thanks again

No prob,

I just had someone else say that we needed signs... so for some reason they must be easy to miss... but there are plenty there.

Let's face it; this is a male dominated activity, and you know how men feel about maps and directions. ;)
