I always claim I will never ride a 29er. About 1 1/2 years ago I thought SSers were looney and I could never ride a singlespeed.
Okay, so my statement of SSers being looney still holds true....:alien:

Shad, you know that On-One does make a really nice 29er Inbred! Geared or SS. Rigid or sprung. Mix and match.
It is only a matter of time.....

Yeah, I know about those. Sweet looking frames! The thing is, what would be the difference between that and my On-0ne singlespeed rigid?

ouch :cryin: .
just admit it- you think us singlespeeders are looney because you want to be badass like us.
(and I am not included in the "us" catagory-because I suck at riding a singlespeed but i absoloutly hate gears.)

Don't worry, JJ is one of those looney singlespeeders.....at least when I can talk him out of riding his geary, springy, Stumpjumper FSR thing.

Bah,
If the bidding goes my way I might have everything I need later this week to build my sub 20# FS Single speed.
I'll keep everyone posted

LOL Crash. :D . (knock on wood of course.) It is a flip of the coin on most rides for me lately. Ride the one gear wonder bike rigid and try to be smooth, or grap the squishy, comfy 27 speed and just ride over stuff while sitting on the sofa. They are equal in fun and the only disadvantage is which one to ride. Everyone should have my problem.

I'll probably have a FS SS by the end of the summer. It's not a priority project, though, and it probably won't be less than 20 lbs.
Do Z-Rims count as suspension?

Do Z-Rims count as suspension?
Only if you need side to side suspension.

I do remember my Zs going up and down sometimes when I'd do a curb endo or a drop off a loading dock. I now have a set of red ones from a bike I picked up on Saturday. Too bad they're 20" and not 24 or 26".
