I've been eyeing riding the curb option at Wirth the last couple of times I've ridden the trail on the tandem. Tonight, Ericca and I cleaned it on each of our two laps.

It was actually easier than I thought it would be. We were able to carry our speed going into it, so we didn't have to pedal, just coast through it.

The trail is in impeccable shape. Nice work, MOCA!

What are (is) these curbs you speak of?

Most of the way through the north loop, after the big down and up and before the jumps on the way out, there's the main line on the left and an alternate line on the right. There's two 12"-16" wide cement slabs positioned to ride on with a couple rocks to ride down as an exit. I was under the impression they were curbs that had been found on site and placed in the trail.

Gotcha. Who rides to the left? ;)

Oddly, more than you'ld think. There were some yahoos there the other day, who thought they were hotshots. One of them wouldn't ride into the gully just before the skinny and the other two wouldn't try the skinny. I was just above them on the trail and went by as they were talking about it. One of them said, "Sure glad I missed that!" I am glad they are out riding, though.

Those curbs weren't too friendly with my son on the trailer bike. Luckily, we have axle pegs on the trailer's wheel so he did his first grind. :D
