The official Singlespeed class race is Sport. Start time is 11:00 am for that race. I'm on the fence as to whether to race citizen or sport (and I SS) as it's my second ever race (1st was the Spring Cup where I got 3rd....).

I'll probably go early tomorrow and pre-ride both courses ($5 dollar fee) and make my decision.

are you sure of this. Sport. i just dont want to show up and it be the wrong category. I hate the idea of waiting 2 more hours for the next category..

their website says nothing.

single speed category is in the sport class. I think it is this way for every single mnscs event and it is under the sport category on the web site. I would definately go for the sport class if your going to do single speed as you will be able to get the best course in my opinion. Also preriding would be a good idea and you still get the reduced preregistration rates if you sign up while you are there preriding on saturday. Hope to see you there.

Also, I believe the experts are doing a tougher course than the Beg/Sports. You can race any category you want with a single, but some courses aren't suited for it. An example is the old Cherry Bomb. Huge climb and descent, but a lot of flat singletrack on the top that favors gears.

the sport course will include all of the expert singletrack with the only difference being the experts will do a little extra flat open loop so they can get there pedal on.

Thanks for the clarification. I had heard that they were going to dumb down the lower categories. I'm going to try and make it down.

there is a set feed zone behind the chalet at the top of the climb that will work well. otherwise anywhere you want that works best for you.
