If I get back from Duluth early enough, I'll be there. This is a chance for the Afton lovers to come out and help. I'll get out there this coming week and take care of the Bridge Loop, Larry. I need to get out and help John since I have all this time on my hands. So take the Bridge Loop of the work schedule. That will free up more time for the berm work.:D

The Bridge loop is clear of face slappers and head whackers. It will need John to go thru with the weed-whip, but it's not all that bad. I put a log in front of the bridge because this area was washed out. I packed it into the sand and put some fill on top. I also packed more dirt and rock on the other side of the bridge, this was washed out also. After the bridge, there is a downhill section that has a major sand wash so be careful. Have fun on Sunday with trail work.

Thanks to all that showed up from Larson Cycle Racing & Morc yesterday!!!
We had 15 people out there moving dirt... Very nice. Also thanks to John Reents and Afton Alps for the help, lunch, and comp passes...
We were able to redirect the bottom 3 berms in the Slalom section to make for more flow. We also groomed the Valley View Singletrack drop. 1 minor tune down, thanks to a teammate who was thinking of filtering out roadies... A hard berm now has a partial sandtrap...
John and Afton are mowing and weed wiping to prep for the MNSCS race on Sunday... Get out there and ride prior to the race if you can... Especially if you have not ridden Afton since last year's series race...

I forgot. There is some kind of wire running across the Grand Canyon. It looks like a low voltage wire. It's connected at both ends. Someone gets a crank arm stuck on that baby and it won't be pretty. :embarass:

Larry, make sure to give JOhn a big thanks. That was pretty cool of him to feed us us and give us trail passes. Wish I could have stayed and rode.

John did the same thing for me today. Lunch and free trail pass. Cool. The trails needed a raking so - somebody's got to do it. :p

Yeah, Dr. Pete I could tell you were jonesing to ride...
Hakala- Thanks for your extra help, I know after the weed whipper went through a rake would be helpful...
Next time we need to keep a better eye on Stoenhenge so that he doesn't create any more sandtraps... He now owns maintaining that trap on a monthly basis... I couldn't flippin' believe what he did...
