Finally finished the '06 Jamis Dragon Team frame I was building up. The specs are as follows:
17" Jamis Dragon Team frame, Reynolds 853 Steel
Cane Creek S8 HS
Ritchey Pro Stem
Truvativ Riser
ODI Lock-on Rogue Grips
Rock Shox Reba Team w/pop loc
Salsa Shaft post
Selle Italia Ti Gel Saddle
Shimano LX Hollowtech II Cranks
LX cassette
SRAM X9 trigger shifters
SRAM X7 Rear Der
SRAM Xgen Front Der
Avid Juicy 5 Disc Brakes
Bontrager Race Lite Disc Wheelset
I have no idea what is weighs. I know it could be lighter but I'm not a 'weight weinie' like some people. I like a solid bike.:D

Sharp lookin' bike you've built yourself. Nice practical build specifications too. Let us know how it works out for you.

That bike looks nice. Can I wheelie on it for you?? Are your brakes moto?....I hope not.

No Moto setup here! I ride motorcycles but I would kill myself if the brakes were the same on my mtb.

That looks a lot like the bike I was riding off of picnic tables while it was raining at Levis ;) .

Looks sweet. Happy to see there are some other Jamis fans out there. You will have to keep us informed on its durability. I am interested in getting a hard tail next year, it would be nice to know how the Dragons hold up.

I bought the frame mainly because they have a good track record. All I have heard about this frame has been good....what can you really say... its steel and steel is real baby!

How are you getting away with a 17 frame? You're taller than I am, but that's the size I'd ride.
Good lookin' bike, BTW. Two out three of mine are steel. Cain't be wrong.
I don't know how tall you are Tom but I am 6' 0" and ride a 17". It fits my inseam(32") well and I like to throw around a little smaller bike. If I remember correctly Porter was about my height. :)

I'm 5'8" and have a 30" inseam. Hmmm... I wonder if all my bikes are the wrong size. :) Oh well. Too late to change.

I think you better sell them all. I'll give you $300 for the SC

Nice bike, Porter! What travel level do you have the Reba set at?

Finally... took you long enough to get the fork figured out... the old fork wasn't that bad... it provided better bump compliance than what I'm running.
I especially dig the shifter choice....
What about brakes, looks like you're rock'n Juicey Fives

Yeah its a 17in frame but the standover was taller than my 17.5in Klein. It has a longer top tube also. I'm about 5ft 11in with about a 31-32in standover. The geometry fits me better than any bike I have owned so far. I have the Reba at 100mm right now but I am going to be changing the internal spacers so its 85mm. It is a little more raked out than I like. The brakes are Juicy 5 Discs. I like them so far and they look sweet too.

It is a nice looking bike and should ride excellent being steel, nothing like steel between your legs.

It's Reynolds 853 and I like the color! Great looking bike! I love my Kona Explosif 98 frame with the Reynolds 853.
