If you ever get out to Cheyenne, take a right and go west towards Laramie. About 40 minutes later you'll crest a range (Curt Gowdy State Park I believe). Pull into the parking lot on the right, put a buck in the box, and go nuts. Laramie is a slice of weird too. Half cowboys, half college students. Go to the coffee shop right off the main drag. Very cool.

Just got back from the Laramie area. We were in the Snowy Mountain range near Medicine Bow peak. Man o man does 10,000 feet of altitude have an effect on the lungs!! There are quite a few trails in the area we were in. Lots and lots of rocks on trails running from single track to what may have been a "road" at some point, to fire roads. We found a nice trail that drops over a thousand feet in just a couple of miles. I will admit we were wimps and had some one give us a ride back up the "hill".
Tons of fun-quite challenging.

Friend of mine went to UWyo in Laramie and said of the place, "Even the hippies have guns!"
