Group Ride

Come one, come all! The Mesabi Mountain Bike Chapter has scheduled their first "official" group ride. On Tuesday, May 30th at 6:00pm our group will tour the places some of our guys usually ride. It won't be a fast and furious ride but rather a "Sunday biker" type...a workout nonetheless. Plan on about two hours of riding. We'll meet at the Legion trailhead parking lot just west of the Grand Rapids High School. Hope to see you there!

i live in Hibbing, but would love to ride in "The Rapids."

Hey Joe-
You missed a fun one, but there will be more. We haven't set a night for weekly group rides necessarily, but will post all on the forum. One is planned for Sunday afternoon on June 11th in the Shingle Mill area south of Rapids. Time and directions to the trailhead will follow sometime soon. Hope you can make it!

Hi everyone-
The group ride at shingle mill has been moved to Mt. Itasca due to the possibility of wet conditions there. We'll try another time. We thought we'd try Mt Itasca...hilly but not too technical with the option to explore around the area. We are still planning a 2:00 ride this Sunday. Meet at the Mt.Itasca parking lot (by the ski jumps, biathlon range, and downhill) in Coleraine. As you go through Coleraine on hwy 169, go north on Curly Ave and a left onto hwy 61. Turn left on dirt road before going over railroad tracks (Road will be marked with Mt Itasca Ski Area sign).
