I have the one and only sign pounder and James needs it before Friday night. I won't be able to get to Salem, and he can't get to my place and pick it up.
Anyone going to be near Leb or Rosemount that could pick up the sign pounder and bring it to James at Salem/Harmon?
I just don't think I can make it there until Sat. and then its too late.
PM me or James if you can.

John, As soon as you were out of the lot, I remembered that I was supposed to get the sign pounder from you.
If James can wait until Friday, I can pick it up from John and bring it over.
However, I really don't think that those tiny brown signs are going to make any difference for the spring cup. The racers will need something much bigger, and the signs will probably be pointing the wrong way for the race anyway.

Has this got something to do with changing your tire John?
Anyhow, I can get the pounder to James. :D

The Carsonite are going to be used as temporary posts to hold up flagging tape and Sponsor Banners to use as course markers.
We have plenty, and since trees are at a minumum, we need something to use that won't hurt a racer if they hit them.

You probably already know this, but I would not force the signs into the ground if they are just temporary. From my experience you have one, maybe two shots with those things - then they are too worn out to do anything but dig them in by hand (which really isnt' fun).
Knowing some of the rocky areas there I just thought I'd mention it... would hate to see us waste signs when we could get some cheap wood stakes or something for this purpose - would probably hurt no less to run them over.

These signs will only be going in about 6 inches and will mostly be used on the athletic fields.
Signs for use out in the trail system will be actual permanant trail signs that will be labels put on them after the race.
