Hi all
At Buck's request in this thread (http://www.morcmtb.org/forums/showthread.php?p=158175#post158175), I'm posting this here as well.
There is a big trailwork day scheduled next Saturday (and maybe Sunday) at Memorial Park in Red Wing. We want to have downhill and dual slalom races this year coinciding with the Muddy River Rock and Roll MNSCS race (July 15th-16th). To do that we need to have the dual slalom and downhill courses done enough for Gus to go ahead and start all the paperwork that goes along with putting on the races.
This is a huge task, as about 1/2 or so of the DH is done. The lower half of the DH, and the DS is practically a clean slate. I am not a freerider/downhiller, so any questions about terrain etc. will have to be answered by Buck I think (he's walked the course area with Gus).
We'll be starting at 9:00 am. Meet at the starting point of the cross-country trails (look for a little driveway of pavement that branches to the right after the road splits). BYOT (bring your own tools) as we don't have nice stashes of tools.
Please post up if you're planning on coming. I want to have enough cookies and stuff for everyone.
