I really really want to check out these trails. Is there a good time to go where it isnt too busy? Im thinking about taking 2 friends thare are just getting into the sport and they have biked trails before but nothing like these trails. I want to show them a good time but in the event that we are extra slow....i dont wanna be in everyone elses way. Nothing worse that that.....

IM thinking about heading out there on sunday. So far it should be 75 and sunny...so the trails should be open right?

Trails are open and will be open Sunday.. should be a nice day for riding.

The only issue is traffic. If you want to ride with people just getting into riding it can be fun to hit the trail with a little less traffic. Weekends are definitely the busy times, where weekdays between 8-4 are about the least busy. Early mornings or if you can get out of work a bit early are the best bet.

Anytime is a good time to ride Lebanon though...

One of the great things about Leb is that the parking lot will be full but you'll hardly see anyone on the trail. Also, for the most part the people who ride Leb Know that it's newbies that fuel the sport and are cool to them.

Very true. At its busiest, Lebanon is wide-open and you won't ever have to worry about bike traffic. Everyone's quite courteous when they need to pass so you'll never feel you're in someone's way.

Mostly true. Not always.

I had a friend and his 2 preteen boys and nephew out there and some a$$, racer wannabee, bashed right by them in a tight section. I was leading to coach the boys throught the obstacles so I didn't get to prepare them for this guy blowing past. There was no contact but the surprise sent one kid into the bushes.

Prepare your friends for the possibility of being passed and let them know that they should do what they can to let others by but yet not panic and crash or ride off the trail.
