Well, I'm gonna get a XC bike this season. I've narrowed it down to a few. I have to stick with Giant and Fisher because that's what my shop sells. I just need something that will hold up good on the trails and something that I can ride to and from work. Building a bike up is out of the question, to much money.

I've narrowed it down to
Giant XTC
Fisher Rig (SS)
Fisher Ferrous
Fisher X-Caliber

Fisher X-CaliberI've beat the hell out of my Fisher Supercal 29er. I would go with the x-caliber. It's a nice solid ride for both off-road and on road.

1. Get whatever feels the best to you for the money, all are good options.

2. If you still can't make up your mind, go for the x-caliber--solid performer, and gotta love those big wheels.

The nice thing about the X-Cal is that it rolls down the street nicely so if you're going to do any road riding that might be something to consider.

A fast-rolling tire like a Nanoraptor makes it even nicer.....

hmm, the X-cal is looking good. Can anyone point me in the direction of a good place to read about 29ers?
