Anybody up for a Theo Time Trial? :)
We've been talking about the details but I wanted to see what people thought of for a date. We'd like to do sometime in July and I want this to conflict the least with other races and events, so those of you in the know please chime in. 4th of July weekend is obviously out (or is it?) and July 15-16 won't work as I'll be out of town on business then. And the Lebanon TT is the 22nd with a rain date of the 29th, so that pretty much leaves the 8th or 9th!
We want the TTT to be structured more-or-less like the Lebanon TT: riders 30 seconds apart and three laps around the "A" loop (8.22 miles total). I had thought of doing a relay, too (TTTT), but this being the first race on the new trail we should keep it simple and limited to one event.
Also, as it's such a tight trail and passing space is so limited, we'll probably have a qualifying sprint for starting positions around the short "B" loop starting and stopping at the kiosk at 55 and Wirth Parkway. We'll start the riders fastest first to limit potential passing. Any passing that does occur will involve the overtaking rider yelling "Pass!" and the slower rider moving over. Even though the course is tight there are plenty of places to pull over to allow someone by.
So, I'll leave this thread open now for the rest of ya to chime in!
