Are there any nice campgrounds near by?

I usually stay at State Parks, the closest is 30 miles away, just checking if there is some thing nice closer.

You should be able to ride the full course route on Saturday, May 27. However, it may not be marked fully. Hopefully we will have the course maps available then.

I am not sure about riding the downhill during the race. It is not included in the course. However, portions of it come close the course route.

Thank you to everyone who was involved with getting the course and event ready for this past weekend. What a great day for the intro of a new course. There were lots of volunteers, navigating around the place was easy - parking, registering, reading results, etc. Parking volunteers were great, food station people were awesome. Safety crew out in the woods, people at course crossings with radios, the water station people - fantastic!
Thank you all for such a great time. It was great to see a new course added to the series and the singletrack was fun. There wasn't nearly as much climbing as I expected (for a ski hill) and the trail offered quite a bit of different terrain; bridges, rocks, hills, trees, logs, sand, double track and switchbacks. It was great fun. Some spots were starting to fall off on the downside of the trail which I saw caused for some quick reactions, but overall the course was fun. I liked all the singletrack and it seemed to flow really well. I appreciate the work involved to get things ready for the debut. Thanks again - you guys rock!

Also, nice job with the pictures, Adam. I even found a good one of myself (http://www.flickr.com/photos/grizzlyadam/160872759/).

Thanks to everyone who showed up. I have one more favor; We are looking for feedback on what you thought could use improvement to make the event run smoother. You don't have to worry about hurting anyones feelings as this was a first year event and we know there are things that need improvement. We want a good list generated while its still fresh in everyones minds so please list anything and everything you would like to see changed/added/subtracted. Thanks everyone.

Never judge a book by it's cover! Be weary of this independant team that may be sponsored by Marshall Fields spring collection. They will make you look foolish with your $200 worth of lycra!

-Anyone know who this group of guys are?

Ha haaa - I'm not sure, but I've met them in the past. Very cool group. The cottom collection is very popular among them.
