Trail work - short notice - 4-22-06 - 9:00 AM
Hi all,

Details: Saturday April 22, 9:00 am. Up at the start/finish area of the race (the bit o' prairie that is right as you are about to start the singletrack). Bring a rake, a hoe, a shovel, a small tractor... pretty much anything to make trail.

We're working on the DH, and maybe if things go well the DS trails.

Sorry for the short notice.

Isaac

Yeah what he said

If you have any other weekend work scheduled I definitely want to help out. Just give me the dates so that I can pencil them into my calendar!

I suppose I should get on those "Volunteer Trail Maintenance Crew" signs I was going to make huh? I thought I had a few more weeks before they'd open the gates. Oh well.

Should I throw my bike on the roof rack? I know that it's a lot of trail to cut, but we can't work aaaaalllll day can we??? (I'm doing it... whether the bike moves or not is debatable).

See ya tomorrow

Ben, Mike, Isaac.

Thanks for the help yesterday. We got alot done. This is going to be a sweet trail. Sport, comp /experts be prepared for some cool a$$ Sh!t. We even built the sally lines. To be more P.C. Nancy lines. If that aint P.C. enought Isaac gave me aproval to call the "Isaac lines."

Definately big thanks to everyone that showed up yesterday. I don't know that I was expecting to be able to test out the trail after trailwork, but the long hard day was worth it. So we're half done with the DH trail (this section to me is less full-on DH than it is just some flowy technical goodness - even if I have to dab and stuff).

The new trail is 95% rideable (maybe more... ). We have to get up there and build both the Isaac Line and more advanced option at one obstacle (so there will be a 20 foot hike-a-bike until that is finished).

Nice picture... you can't see me in the shot as I had too much air.... :crazy2:

Actually that and the big berm will be really sweet once it's all ridden in and buffed out. I totally DUG the new trail today! It's a huge improvement over just bombing down the doubletrack (at least in my simpleton mind).

Buck, Open plate we do. I walked another area today with that Johnn fellow I told you about. We found an even better place for the D.S. The upper part of the D.H. came together well. About 90% finished. What is finished, is ridable. Check out the pic posted by "Waitabit".
