Hi,

I am interested in finding riding partners too. I'm about an hour East and South from Grand Rapids, I am willing to travel or have people come over this way to ride.

I believe one of our esteemed trail bossess, Bob Shepard, has a cabin very near you in McGregor. I'll make sure he is aware of your post.

Happy ridin'

Hi all!
As a member of the Mesabi chapter, thanks for the warm welcome! Also, I will have to say we are just getting started, most of us hardly know each other yet. We have our next chapter meeting May 16, 7 pm at the Grand Rapids Public Library. I will try encourage the group to check this forum and respond. I know there are several groups of people that ride together. If you call Dave or Chandra at Itasca Trail Sports in GR, they can probably give you some further ideas since they know most of us.

Hi Liz,

I have a cabin (just a fixed-up garage) on the east side of Big Sandy Lake. I'm up there most summer weekends, and usually bring my single-speed to poach 4-wheeler trails. Usually an hour or two ride on Saturday or Sunday morning. I've also biked around Savanna Portage State Park and the State Forest, but it's usually soggy back there until mid-summer, and the trails are only so-so (ski and snowmobile trails).

Anyway, if you find any good places in the area to ride, I'd be interested in a group ride. I'm also up for going to Grand Rapids to meet up with a larger group. Sorry, Hibbing is past my flinch point. I like to try to be back by afternoon to play in the lake.
