I know the city of Burnsville regulates the trail opening and closings for this trail. I also know that it tends to open later than other trails in the area.

So...
any official opening date yet?

Unless something has changed, Terrace Oaks opens on May 15, and remains open until Oct 15.

This is the park rule, and has nothing to do with trail conditions or MORC. We have begged them to stay open longer, but that would mean changing the rule.

I have not walked the trail yet this year, so I don't know if it needs any work prior to opening.

I checked out the Burnsville Bike webpage. It says May 1st it is open.

Between May 1 and 15th depending on weather.

I walked the trail the other day and cut some trees, I have to get back to get a larger one. Other than that the trail will be ready to ride and then will need some of the brush cut back after it begins to grow. Looked very good, the re-routed areas got through their first winter in great shape.

Cool! Any idea when trail work will begin? Ethan's been begging to start digging for rocks!

Trailwork will be be Tuesdays alternating with Leb. I will be out there Sunday 4/30 around 6 to do a final walkthrough and make sure its all good for May 1. Should be looking good, there is only one tree that fell i need to cut out, other than that it looks good.

Sorry, I'm out. I guess I have a prior commitment I wasn't aware of.

The trail was cleared of fallen trees 4/30 in the PM, yes even in the pouring rain :) However, as it is still raining please DO NOT RIDE until it is dry, (wed/thurs is my guess). I will also have to run out again and clear anything else that might have blocked up spots after this last rain.

Anyone been by T.O.? I was hoping for a ride this pm but I am guessing it might be a little soggy still. Thursday maybe.
