man you guys on the North side are going to have homecourt advantage on that one. Hillside is a tricky course to carry speed through. Should make for a really fun race.

Hillside is the bomb:cool:

I looked at the flyer, how many miles per lap? I used to know this.

It's a good ride. I'm in great shape by the end of the season. Each lap is 7 miles and it's only a 80 acre lot. Hope to see ya there!

...Hillside is the bomb:cool:

I agree... Hillside is as tight & twisty as two dollar whore on crack. :etard: (That's NAVY talk for a fun ride).

Let's get more MORCers up there this year... The race is pretty technical, roadies need not apply!

Thank's Ryan... I'm looking forward to riding hillside this year.

I really wish I could make this this year, but I will be out of town. Are there going to be any other races at Hillside?

There should be another one there. We normally have the fall race there too, AKA Boo Blast. I know we're trying to get a race at Monticello too sometime this summer.

Oh, and the MN Biathlon might do a series at Hillside this year too.

Ryan-
Have you heard anything on the Biathlon weeknight races at Elk - or are you assuming they might try to host a few races again?

I have not heard anything at this point. Normally those are held in July. We'll have to check with them if they can support it this year.

Ryan,

What time are you planning the race on the 7th? I am moving up to northern Anoka County at the end of this month and will be less than 10 miles east of Hillside, and Backcountry patroller Jay N. lives in Elk River. We could maybe bring our Band-Aid boxes with us and lend a hand if you need it. All depends on the time, though.

Ride safe,
Hans

8:00...I just looked at your original post and figured it out. If you want us, I'll talk with Jay, and Craig from Big Lake and see what we can do.

Hans, I beleive Kevin has gotten in contact with you. So you'll be at Hillside a lot this year. Have fun! I know I do but it can kick my a$$ though.. :D

Kevin probably got ahold of Alden, since we are usually playing in the North Woods, and it is the MORC Patrol's "turf". But since Jay, Craig and I all live (or will live) within 10-15 miles of the place, I figured we could at least offer.

Kevin, if you want the help, shoot me an e-mail or PM.

Alden, are you okay with our helping out out at Hillside events? Craig and I are WEMTs and Jay is OEC certified.

Let me know,
Hans

Help! The blast site appears to be down and I never saved the race flyer.
Can somebody maybe post the start times? Does everyone start at/around 9am?
I'll be doing Sport, but perhaps for others' benefit, somebody could post them all? Thanks!

Ken

Thanks BLAST Crew!!!

Once again you guys put on a nice low key, user friendly race... The trail was sweet...

Maybe Milica again one day??? Wishful thinking...

Regardless... Any BLAST Race is worth the effort...

I agree, It was a great time. Although I think someone came out and moved all of the trees on me during that last lap. :) Anyway thanks Blast group, I hope there is another one later this summer.

Thanks guys!
The race was fantastic. The trail was in beautiful shape with a couple minor reroutes. The biggest difference this year over last? The WEATHER!! It was sunny, cool and barely windy. I was confused! Every other year I've done it, it's been raining, cold, snowing or windy, or all at once.
I managed to finish the Enduro without dying the big death until much later in the race. Thanks to the St. Olaf dude for pacing me for a couple laps.
Thanks Kevin for having the event.
Thanks to the safety crew for being there.
Thanks to the trail crew for whipping the trail into shape.
Thanks to everyone working registration, the road crossing, radios and the behind-the-scenes stuff.
Great job!

Here are some pics I got:

What is enduro? Seriously, I don't know what that means.

Race results posted anywhere?

Thanks

Enduro is generally reserved for us crazy folk. Race distance is 4.5 laps, as opposed to 2.5 for the Sport race.

Panman

Results will be online later today, when I get home. :) Glad you enjoyed the race, thanks for your support.

I can't find the results. Am I just blind? All I see is the same race flyer.

Panman

It should be in place of that race flyer. View the events page (http://www.bikeblast.com/BlastEvents.htm) and then hold down your Shift key and click on the Refresh button. That should pull down the new document. There is also a PDF version (http://www.bikeblast.com/Spring_06_TBR_Results.pdf) too.
