MORC is gearing up to do more merchandise sales this year. We're looking for feedback on what you're looking for.

Here are a couple things we're thinking of, and if something you want isn't mentioned, post up, and we'll consider it.

Praise accepted, constructive criticism appreciated.

I think stuff a la the Dirt Rag portfolio would be nice (and quite saleable).

Beanies
Wool socks
Hoodies
Wool jerseys
HQ MORC bibs
"Hawaiin" riding shirts - like the wicking shop-style shirts
Beer steins (not just pint glasses)
post up, and we'll consider it.

I love a good, heavyweight hooded sweatshirt. If MORC made on in a discreet color like black and I buy one for sure.

I'd also be serious about contributing to a MORC calendar. I think this summer I'll start getting model releases from people I photograph in case something like that ever happens.

I'm always a fan of a nice long sleeve t-shirt. And bottle openers. :D

In the spirit of "green-ness" - latex or sheepskin?

and I don't see any mention of our thongs?

That ties back to Rad's proclivity to wear them inside out and backwards whilst manualing. Safer for everyone they're not made available.

While it is oh so tempting to use the "hey baby, wanna see my drivetrain?" pick-up line, it would be an abomination of tacky to wear white thong underwear. *shudder*

I'd like to see:

heavyweight hoodie
wool socks
wool girlie jersey, ala Surly
the requisite MORBID bottle opener
chick specific jersey, heck, make it a tank

I have a design for a bottle opener that looks like a 14 tooth Cog.

Similar in design to the Stein opener that New Belgium puts out.

If we have any members with leads on manufacturers that would be great.

I have found places out there that make them either stamped or cast, but they tend to run in the 3-5 dollar each range IIRC.

I'm all about a nice heavy MORC 'Hoodie'. I am with Scott on having it a dark color.

Word. But not black. Charcoal grey with black stitched logo. Subtle yet intriguing.

Why would you want something that says "MO" ?

And what's with the dancing bananna while talking about condoms?

If memory serves my correctly Kryptonite had promotional condoms in the early 90's.

What about chain stay protectors? Sort of like pocket protectors for the slightly less nerdy bunch.

What about these? A bottle cooler for summer. I don't like the zip-up style as shown. In Mexico, the covers slide over the top. Much easier to use. Of course, you have to be careful not to loosen your grip too much....

Might double as a prophylactic in a pinch, too.

-Cheap foam 'Coolies'? (Like a cup to stick your beer in, plus they'll float in the lake/pool/bathtub with you)

-MORC Energy drink

I think the chainstay protector is a great idea..

What about huge gaudy window stickers, like you see on big trucks and SUVs? Kind of as a joke; but they're pretty visible, too.

I would like a hoodie with the new morc logo, something good to throw on after the night rides. A toque would be good too.

For a hoodie, we need to check with Hurl to see where he got the CRC ones.

They are a great Root Beer color and are incredibly soft, warm, and comfy.

I like this idea, but I prefer the ones that slip over the top of bottles and look like a jersey.

I also like the idea of a chain stay protector.

Ahhh, I forgot about the jersey looking one. I have a Trek model from one of the Cheq Fat 40's.

I put in a big vote for the bottle openers..any style! You can never have too many openers around. Last time I couldn't find one, I had to use my eye socket. Still seeing blurry.:hit:

I would also love to see a heavy hoody, but i prefer full zip ones.

Also would reallllllllllly like to see a riding "kit" (depending on colour sheme that is) which would include wind vest, wind jacket, arm warmers, shorts, short sleeve and long sleeve jersesys, socks. But that asking a lot without a huge pre-order going.

Oh yeah a simple all black hat with M.O.R.C. on the front too.

What about coffee? I noticed that everyone has their own blend, Fast Freddy, Dirt Rag...

Could something be worked out with say Peace Coffee for a special MORC blend, where a portion of the profits support local trails? that would be cool IMO.

Scott,
I could talk to IMBA and see they sell that's easy to produce and that sells well. I always buy an IMBA calendar myself, which hangs in my office. We could have members submit photos.

I would love to see a wool jersey, casual fit. One that could be used for other outdoor activities as well. Maybe a long sleeve zip neck with a small embroidered MORC logo. Very sharp.

Also, the post ride/shop shirt would be very cool as well.

Think multi-sport and multi-purpose = multi/more buyers. There are plenty of people who will always shy away from the sublimated plastic jersey.
