Any ideas on which of the Duluth area trails dry-up first?

Also, any guesses on how soon they'll firm enough to ride?

Hartley is usually really wet really long, and since there is so much cover the snow stays a long time, the ski hut guys said it was really bad. I tried to get in there last spring, and I couldn't until late may early june.

I had gone over to the Piedmont trails on the 5th and they also look to be wet for a while, that XC ski snow will take a while to melt.

MORC will let anyone post! Those trails better be nice and dry this summer if I get a chance for a company trip up there. I'll be sure to bring the gear so you can show me around!

Lester Park: Rode last week (4-20). Ski trails still had a lot of mud and water. The single track paths were surprisingly dry. Isolated wet patches, but good spring riding

Amity: Quick ride over Hawks ridge and along the Amity trail. Also a lot of mud and water. Fun ride if your are going east (down hill), but would be a lot of work pumping through the mud riding away from the 7 bridges road.

All trails should be a lot drier with the great weather we've had over the last week.

Any update on Hartley? I'm coming up to Duluth this weekend and wondered if I should bring my bike or not.
