I'm a mother of a very determined 9y/o who wants to get into motocross racing. The problem is I know nothing about motocross or how to get going. Is there anyone who could give me some guidance? There is one other problem - he does not know how to ride and neither do I. Where can he learn? Any help would be greatly appreciated!:)

thank you for all the help in advance!

This sight is for bicycles. If your looking for bicycle information then this is the place. But if you are looking for Motorcycle info, try calling Bob's cycle supply. They are in the motocross business. Hope this helps, and good luck.

Unless of course it's Bicycle Motocross. There's a track in St. Michael that I beilieve is close to Monticello.

Many of the top motocross racers started their racing with BMX (bicycle moto cross). Also BMX is going to be in the 2008 Olympics. Cheaper. better conditioning. and little safer for young bodys. I mean almost all top MX riders. Email me if you want more info. I'd be glad to help.:)
Im a track director for a BMX track.

Yeah!....good one dude!....

The only reason we are Off-Road is because we are in the bars all the time. That can be our motto.

Think of the children! Another thread goes to the beers. :eyeroll: That being said I am in favor of MORBID. I can then feel better about embracing my inner Goth and reconciling it with my biker side. :D

Maybe we can form a Chapter like MOCA did! :)

Serious drinkers with a biking problem.

To think this thread started with an inquiry about a child's interest and it has evolved, like all the threads on this board, into about a discussion about beer.

Rehbeins is in Lino Lakes, The crow river track would be cloesest to her.( St Michaels)I still think that BMX would be better to start racing. That way you could see if he liked it with out the massive investment of time and money. If he doesn't have the strength to BMX he won't make it in MX either. Also BMX helps you lean how to handel a bike before you put power to it. Some of the top MX pros Still race a BMX race once in a while( I know i got my but kicked my Jeramy McRath once)

I don't think that she has checked back so it really doesn't matter much. at least this thread has remained relatively clean (by Morc standards)

Yea a thread about grips can go on forever and stay on but start on about kids and it digresses to beer. WHATS WITH THAT:crazy:

Any beer home brewers out there.

You have to ask? I can think of three of them right off the top of my head. They post about their brewing skills quite often. Probably in Non-Biking Discussion.

I checked and saw that you didn't join the Non-Biking Discussion group. Check your User CP to do this. I see three threads on the first screen about Home Brewing.

God (or your deity of choice), I love this website. I'm proud to be a member of MORC (or MORBID or whatever we end up as).

Mike disappeared. He is off in Non-Biking Discussion Group catching up. He might be gone for awhile! Everyone welcome him when he comes back. We will find out soon enough if he is a Lefty or a Righty.....

Stickers. My biking-related stickers go on my beer cooler.

Must have the "Serious Drinkers with a Biking Problem" tag line as well.
