Hi,
I will be moving cross-country in two weeks and I need to take a few bikes with me, but my car can't fit any inside. So, I am looking for any bike racks or any rack-system components that could help me out. My car is a 94 Honda Prelude but if you have any general components like trays, bars or whatever else let me know.

Thanks,
Peter Lillesve

For your Prelude, you will need different Yakima towers. If you go with Thule you will be neeidng the 400xt towers and a fit kit. (same as my '94 Honda Accord) I have some 50" standard Thule bars sitting around that I could part with for a little cash, if you find some towers.

I also have some 50" Yakima Round bars lying around. No Towers but if you want them, let me know. They will go cheap.

You need to watch your rooftop load with 2-door cars. Are you mounting both sets of feet at the door opening or are installing a set off the rear window and roofline?

Under high loads I've seen the "cheater" feet (those not in the doors) come loose and the whole rack rip off. Ugly.

Thule and Yakima both make spanners/adapters for 2doors.

And I have a Thule set that were barely used that I'm looking to sell. I used them on my Tiburon.

u got a trailer hitch on that thing? I'll let you borrow my yak rack, but you would have to send it back to me. Not to mention get new towers for it more than likly. I also have a hitch mount one you could use if needed.

Those may work for you! All you would need then would be bars and trays. Check them out.

Thanks Porter, and everyone else! I got a great deal on a full Thule system from Brian in Edina, so I am all set for my trip. :) Now if that stupid snow in the Great Plains states would only stop...

Thanks again everybody!
