I'm not sure if this is reasonable to post on the MORC site or not but I'm sure it will be removed if deemed inappropriate. Please save the rhetoric.

Erik's Bike Shop is currently hiring for sales and service personal at a number of locations. If you are interested here is what you need to know.
-We do not require past shop experience.
-Erik's requires all new employees to go through a five day paid training session (M-F, 9-6).
-Erik's also offers continued on the job paid training for sales and service personnel throughout the year.
*examples: Suspension overhaul, wheel building, hydraulics, Advanced product knowledge, etc.
-All salespeople are sent for a one week training session in California at the Specialized's training center (SBCU) after their first full season at Erik's.
-ALL Erik's store managers started at Erik's as either mechanics or salespeople.
-Retail hours mean 2-3 evenings a week and most Saturdays and Sundays.
-Health insurance
-401K

We want good people. If your motivation is to provide the best possible service, to work hard, keep a smile on your face, and help get our customers what they want please go to www.eriksbikeshop.com and apply.

Thanks Scott. We came up with a new twist for our Mountain bike team. Erik's is going to pay for the membership of all Erik's Mountain Team members to join MORC. We are also working on a way to create incentives for the team to get out and help with trail maintenance.

Best,
Dave O

Yay! Thank you!

I like seeing people hooked on MORC -- as far as vices go, it's a great one to push.

How much do you pay your good techs?

I'm sending an email, but I thought I'd also post in case others had the same questions...

I'm assuming these are full-time positions (401k and insurance)?

Are there part-time opportunities available?

Are there seasonal opportunities available?

Thanks,
Pete

-We are hiring for some PT positions. We prefer FT but certainly make exceptions.
-Benefits are for FT employees.
-Seasonal works quite well for us. Usually March-September is ideal.

Thanks

I just saw Libby's email. This is great to see Erik's continued support of mountain bike advocacy, and MORC more specifically.

Thanks!
Scott

Wages at Erik's are competitive with the market. We also offer other incentives to our staff to help support their participation in the sport.
