Would I have fun riding down there with my little xc bike? As in this summer sometime? The photos look like fun down there.

I generally don't ski down there, but I am assuming that nearly half the trails are covered with manmade snow, not positive though, might be worth a call.

To clarify I'm looking ahead towards summertime.

Aren't we all
sorry ben should've assumed that. Rasc-mn.org has some trail maps, from what I've seen they have a very nice start worth a trip, just be sure to check the schedule they were only open on saturdays last year, I hope that isn't the case this year being that it is close enough to me that evening rides would be perfect there.

They have maybe 3-4 miles of XC stuff right now. The FR stuff is rideable on a XC bike if you take it easy on the jumps and avoid the rock drop. It is definitely worth checking out. Try to time it when Buck has a bunch of his buddies down there so you can watch them hit the jumps and such. Just don't watch Thor, he will make you feel rather inept.

The trails are all totally doable on youre xc bike. Most of us that ride down there on a weekly basis throw in a couple of trips down the downhill course on our xc bikes every time just for fun. I ride a jamis dragon and while you won't see me taking the rock drop or pulling tail whips on the tables, its still fun. Also we have a 5 mile xc loop completed and we will be opening at least another 3 miles by june hopefully. And this isn't just paths on the ski runs this is great singletrack that leads off away from the ski resort. We are planning on eventually putting in 15+ miles of pure single track out there so stop down any weekend and take a ride and if you feel the need grab a pulaski.
