coffee mill today was sick, Great fun in the early park session, 2 nice flowing jumps in a row, had to hike though, but it was worth it! The race was a blast!
First run: sort of spun out/crashed in all the sluch ruts but still managed to finish within 30 feet of the person ahead of me!
Second run: Red Bull got to me, i was tired, only finished with in 20 feet of guy ahead of me.
Only 1 crash in the park and 1 crash in the race, not too bad.
Too bad there isn't another race there:cryin:
Thanks to Buck and who ever else made this thang happen!

that race definately was a super fun race until i hit the tree. the park session was also really fun before the place opened up. wish we could have stayed in there longer. i'm guessing i finished somewhere in the range of 13th or 14th, but i was just there to have fun.

hahah, thanks guys, I had nothing to do with setting up the race besides spreading the word. Props go to Coffee Mill and the local shop out of st Charles, Bikes limited of LaCrosee, and Red Bull Energy Drink.

Only thing I did was line up the session later in the night.

Park session was dope, race was a blast.

The Coffee Mill Races were one hellava good time. I had a blast! Took my share of diggers but the rigid single(and its pilot) held strong. For the record, I am completely beat tonight! It was a great time and always awesome to meet so many great people. :D

Well it looks like I need to get some photo editing software and decrease the size of my photo's before I upload them. Is the best way to display images on a post, to add them as attachments?

Someone please, please, please, pleeeease tell me they caught my get off at the jump. I'm pretty bummed that I tossed it during the timed run and missed the entire day, not to mention screwing up my dad's day though in the end I'm really glad he was there. (I know you're lurking out there!)
I remember landing a little crossed up but it's all blank after that. Actually for a while after waking up I had a distinct memory of landing and pedaling to the finish line. I knew something was up when I started remembering bikini models asking me what day of the week it was........

Tony, glad to see you're all right...kinda scary lookin, but all right. I had a blast at Coffee Mill just doin practice runs. My timed run got screwed up, so I had to go right back up and get in line. Otherwise, I would have been there for your fs/xc swan dive. Great bunch of racers and I'm already lookin forward to next year.

2 questions: Can I get 3 inch tires on my Trek Fuel; Any recommendations for a full face helmet?

Yeah Tony, I was riding my Green Machine aka Bianchi BASS. It wasnt the final race though. I got 5th. Glad to see that you were ok and it was nice to see you made it back, even if it was at the end of the day. I have to say, it was pretty scary to turn around and see you laying there after the jump, not moving. It was like the Coffee Mill staff was in slow motion. James, Buck and I thought it was a little strange that no one helped you right away,so we started trotting up to you. When we got to you about 10 ski patrollers flocked in. Once again, glad to see that you are all intact! Take care of yourself Tony, so I can do some riding with you this season.

Hey everybody, i just registered to say I had an excellent time down at the coffee mill. The course was super fun, reasonably fast, and fairly challenging. The snowboard course was pretty fun as well, although my shin is still pretty sore from slipping my pedal. Who'd have thought I'd bottom my g spot out on the first day?

Anyways, it was nice meeting all of you out there, and I'm sure I'll see you around as the riding season gets underway.

Great to see you made it back for the awards. The helmet was kinda funny. As for info on a full face helmet just email me. I'm the BMX track director in Mankato so I have a lot of experiance with bike helmets.

Nope. I tied for third. Dude from Lacrosse and a really nice kid from Quality ended up getting 1st and second.

Can't wait to hangout with everyone this Summer and ride/race. I keep meeting more and more cool people.

I am iin the process of getting all of the video footage from the Winona State guy(Andrew Doyle) that was there filming for a local sports segment. He has a short edited segment that aired in the Winona area also. He is putting it all on a dvd for me. Not sure how I can get it to you all but I'll figure something out.:D

Thanks all that helped at the ski hill.

The road rash cleaned up pretty good but I had to go in for another CT scan and found I broke the zygo-something in my cheek. Would've walked away fine with a fullface and will definatly use one if I do more gravity stuff. I've done 1000x more stupid things snowboarding & freestyling wo a helmet so it cracks me up to have knocked myself silly after just a couple of months back on the bike. Lesson learned though, it hurts more and heals slower the older you get.

Rich is working on putting his helmet cam video on his website or on to a dvd for whoever was interested. He has a lot of chairlift riding and standing around to get rid of. But, for now he gave me the final race and I put it up on google video:

This was Rich following the two final racers for first place. He was trying not to interfere, so he fell behind a little.

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=7894404567772454212

Or go to video.google.com and search for coffee mill.

Hey Porter - maybe you should get that dvd to Rich and have him put the videos together on one dvd?

Yeah once I get the dvd I will make a copy and get one to him.
