Saturday March 4th come out for the Coffee Mill Downhill Series Mountain Bike Race PART TWO and the BoarderCross! Cash prizes and merchandise sponsored in part by Whitewater Bike and Sport. $10 entry fee and $25 lift tickets (normally $30). Helmets and signed waiver required by all participants. Mountain bikes will NOT be available for rent. Registration and practice from 10-12, 1pm start.
From what I have been told by others who went to the Feb event, They were told they would have access to the whole hill for practice, not just the race course. I do not know if this includes the boardercross course or the Terrain Park, but it does add some fun to the practice.
If anyone has more OFFICIAL information, please post.
So hear is the official info...
We have Park access from 8-10am...the more that show for this the better!!! I'll be there in full force with not one but TWO DVX100as to cover whatever mayhem may happen. I want to get some really really good stuff for an upcoming project along with that I plan on giving a finished piece to Coffee Mill to help them promote for next year and to show our appreciation. With two cameras I'll be able to do some really cool stuff!!!(cross your fingers that I can snag the second cam!)
So if some brave souls are willing to get up early to take a wack at the terrain park, big air booter and all. Please post up as I have people I need to call to make sure I can have full video/audio set ups available to me. Also helps if you have some mad style as well...
Thanks

I'm stoked! Can't wait, but 8-10 a.m. :hit: , I can't do that.
What about after the race? Do we still get to ride the park then? I'm :embarass: if we don't.
Eitherway it will be a blast!

Here is what Managment told James...
Hi James, you can come in at 8 A.M. and play in the park for a while, I don't know if we will have any lifts running though. I will have to groom the runs you play on before we open at 10 A.M. though.
We hope to run the course almost the same with one exception, cut the width at the top so skiers can play on one side and bikers on the other.
The boarder cross needs to set up over night so we wont be able to let you play on that..... sorry.
If you can get 125 - 150 people to commit to come down and play we will open just for your group, if we are closed for skiing.
Thanks, Gordy

I posted this in the other thread about this, but I don't konw if you saw it... you want a couple of ski bikes to ramp on while you're there?
They let the ski bikes ride everywhere....
I got two more riders from Brainerd to come down for this weekend!
NO WAY will I make the park session.....until after the race....:D

I think we might come down friday night and find a cheap hotel in town. After messing around in the park at the first race I'm not entirely convinced that it would be worth getting up extra early to session it. However, if people are gonna show up for it then I'll be there.

Tony,
They have the show booter up now, I saw it last weekend...It should make for a fun few hits...endless landing. Should be worth alittle bit of a good time to diddle around in, plus I'll be there with a video camera, and working on getting a 16mm cam to play with.
