Thursday will have more below freezing temp hours than above. By 7:00pm the fro zone will be evident by ground & air. Snow may be falling too. Anyone else up for a Thursday eve event. I have a hall pass. You in? Come on, you are gett'n heavy holidazzle... Bring bike, lamp and shoes.

It's a Trail Stomp

The temp is supposed to be hovering around 32 degrees, so it'll probably be too damp to ride. I'm thinking that either hiking boots or possibly snowshoes will be the recommended attire on Thursday.

So, I plan to be there, and my wife will probably also join us. We'll bring snowshoes, but I predict we'll end up with just hiking boots.

For lights, a headlight would be nice, but a decent flashlight is probably all you will need.

See you there. Thursday 12/29 7pm at the Leb lot

I'm planning on being there as well. I need to get back to the original holes in my belt again after the holiday food.

I'll bring stuff and start planning evasive maneuvers for my hopeful early escape :) Snowshoe/hike/biking will be good for me. I'm starting to have dreams about my V1 technique.

Is this still on for tonight or did weather get in the way?

It's still on. Sounds like a decent size group going.

We snuck out this morning and biked leb. (had to walk about 1/3). The trail will be walkable with or without snowshoes. I'll probably go without.

I'll be there ready to go @ <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:time Hour="19" Minute="0">7pm</st1:time> w/snow boots & snowshoes. Wintery mix, baaah, won't stop me from a little exercise. When we left the parking lot today Bob, Ted & John we're planning to show. Didn't sound like they we're packing bikes though. It might be more of a boot/snowshoe fest as I rode yesterday and this am. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>

Probably a good night to hike.

To add to the crew, I'm dragging Tim Wegner along with me.

Bummer. It was a nice hike. 6 hikers plus Shad on bike plus Tim scoping out reroutes. Took about 2 hours, including the time we took to litter the trail with a big tree. Wife and I split afterwards, but several stayed for a few brewskis.

I got a flat, walked out with Tim and then said, "Hey, Bob was right, duct tape isn't such a good idea to protect my tubes from my tire studs."

Did want to wait for the hikers to get back since I knew they were way behind. Next time should be fun....:)
