Okay, I don't know much about this trail and I've never been there, but I would like to check it out this summer. Has anyone been here? If so, I'd appreciate any info that you could give - trails, descriptions, places to stay, places to eat, etc.
Here are some links describing the trail:

Levis-Trow Mound is one of the best trail systems in the entire northern Midwest. Designed, literally, from the ground up for mountain biking, it started as a county forest with some wide, relatively easy x-c ski trails that were open to mountain biking in the non-snow seasons. Those NASTI boys (Neillsville Area Single Track Inhabitants) did an absolutely fantasic job planning and developing the miles of singletrack that run up, down, around and across the mound. Essentially, the higher you go, the tougher the trails, but even the easy singletrack will soon provide you with a view of the beautiful Black River Valley from high atop Levis Mound.
There is something there for everbody, whether you want an easy ride on wide trails, or tight, technical, climbs, drops and places where even the best experts have to dab to stay upright, then Levis is the place to go.
Above all, ride safe.

This is really good trail system in the driftless zone of Wisconsin. It is 2 hrs from Minneapolis taking 94 E to the Hwy 95 North exit. After the third time I have figured out the best loop to make in this massive interconnected trail system. Sometimes their is no maps at the trailhead and these maps last year did not show the new trail "cliffhanger" which is a really gnarly ride. If you can, print a map in color to prevent yourself from getting lost and climbing numerous hills. Post when you are going and maybe we can get a group to go.

I have to agree with all the other comments. Levis is an Incredible system of singletrack trails and well worth the 2 hour drive to get there.
Hopefully this will be the 3rd year that Pedro's Fest will take place at Levis the Last weekend in June. Last year was a riot and the riding was incredible.
Here are a couple of Pics from 3 falls ago.

I am looking forward to getting in some rides out of state this year - hopefully starting with the March thing in KC. This sounds like a good place to go as well, I know Jan went there a few times last summer. Count me in if there is a group going... well.. pretty much anywhere :cheesy:
BTW: Nice pics!!

I was at the pedros fest last year, the trail system was incredible! the only problem was the water at the campground-it was grayish brown,it didnt taste too bad or make me sick but the color put me off a little bit-next year i'll bring my own!

Does anyone know when Levis usually dries out to the point of being rideable?
Is mid/late April usually a safe bet?:fool:

Love Levis/Trow!
As my wife so succinctly put it:
"Why take the 5 gallon bucket of Kemps, when you can get this pint of Ben and Jerry's(or insert your fav ice cream here), and be all the happier!"
Guess what she was refering to. NOt to abg too harshly on the other area though, it is fun, just....different fun.
I'd like to head up there earlier in the season too. I've been there in the fall a coupla times(spectacular, BTW), but would REALLY like to head there sooner to see it all with newer leaves. Gotta wait till school's out though...

Ok, after reading the description here I went to check Levis out. Cool trail system, hat's off to NASTI. Loads of singletrack ripping through tight forest and technical climbing/decents. Go if you have net been there.
Stopped by Sat on the way back to the the TC from fly fishing WI coulee region, tried to hit Holzinger on the way down last Thursday but trail was still wet. Big bummer.
Hit most of the trails on top and around the mound, then out on Yellow Jacket and around Buck Hill. Ripped the Hermosa's, Dead Turkey and Select Cut back to the parking lot. Can't wait to go back and check out Goat Dance. First timmers should definately take a map. Don't forget to bring the $3 trail fee - so worth it.

Check out the Levis-Trow trail review (click trails above - then go to out of state rides)
I posted a new review with tons of pictures taken a few weeks back on my first trip out there.
If you have not done Levis yet, drop everything...get out there and RIDE!
BTW: I'm giving Maah Daah Hey and Levis their own "sub-forums" under out of state rides. As we add trail reviews, others may get the same..
