I'm learning to ski because it's way easier to get around and film on skis. You're balanced evenly when you have a backpack with all your camera gear in it and it's easier to get in and out of skis. Plus all of my friends freestyle ski and they all have extra freestyle skis for me to use, so it's a sweet deal
are you shooting in letter box??? That last one looks that way...anyway sic shots and rail, I wish I was up there, I'd throw down on the Mad River Rocket for the cams.

I just put a matte over all of them.
yeah, you gotta come up here and let me film you for once
Nice Alex, good to see some snow-sliding shots. Me and a few friends have passes this season, so we'll be heading up there quite often on the weekends. See ya in the park.

If you're going to learn to ski, learn it from someone other that those guys in your pictures. They haven't even figured out that you point the tips downhill rather than standing sideways. They just be former snowboarders.

don't even start........... I know where you're going with this. All my friends that ski have been doing it since they were little kids, they know how to ski. I even have a few friends that race and freestyle ski, you can do both, it's not one or another.
Freestyle skiers have just as much skill and talent as a racer. Check out the movie Teddy bear crisis and then tell me that freestyle skiers aren't real skiers ;)
Alex, have you seen TGR's "Tangerine Dream" yet? It's pretty insane: 180's off 40' cliff drops, on skis....stick the landing and ride out....so sick...
Yeah other film worth checking out would be
Poor Boyz Productions Ready Aim Fire and Session 1242
oh yeah and don't forget snow board film The Community Project. Alot can be learned from that film, outstanding film, shot set-up, riding, location scouting, it pretty much has it all.
Then there is Warren Miller's Higher Ground...oh my that was just killer.
