I dunno... weather looks iffy this week. Lets play it by ear. Watch this forum for last minute updates.

Otherwise if the trail is in good condition it will be a bit cooler out there. Maybe even some snow? DOH! I guess we've been pretty lucky up until now.

Providing the ride is a go, I will be able to make it this week.

If I'm capable of movement after ski class this week, I hope to make it. Someone's got to keep you speedy people in check ;)

If conditions are good, I will ride. I am looking at the weather, it's what I do all day, and it does not look good. Shows snow all week and I am going to assume the ground won't freeze much.

Sorry for the negative outlook......:)

I'm in. Remember how the snow is silent and then crunch crunch crunch after metamorph heat-cool events. I need to buy screws, now!

I'm in. I spent, and still am, drilling my old mud tires. How studly. I've spent too much time on then to wimp out cause the wind chill is 0'. I'm planning to ride old schol with snow boots, buckets and my old hard tail.

C U @ 6:30pm, in the frozen parking lot.

?... Is it bad for the head lamp to tourch at sub zero temps?

*IF* the ride is still on, I'm game. However, I won't be using studs, so I'll be going slow (even slower than usual).

Am I solo? Don't Care.

I have a hall pass & I'm going to use it darn it anyhow. It's becoming accepted family behavior(Thursday). I'm just in for a ride. Speed don't matter.

I did my first set of studs, air in. I think they will work.

Hello, hello... hello.....anyone out there. So it's cold, tough up olle/svwen. Wear layers and goggles ehh.

Maybe I don't call if ride is on, but, I'm there regardless.

I hope it snows. Chow.

I'm in. There isn't enough snow/ice to warrant studs as of tonight. Actually, there is enough bare trail showing that you may wear down home-made studs.

I'm iffy... I imagine crusty uneven snow on the trails (although I have not been there yet to see)

I'll charge up the lights and see what kind of sub freezing clothes I have handy.

Not that I'm aware of. However, your batteries will have slightly less capacity than usual.

My car is loaded.....crud! I just realized I forgot my goggles.

I dunno... says 18 in my car, 15 on weatherbug. That might just be too cold for me this early on. It was in the 50s just last week wasn't it? :jumpy:

And for your viewing pleasure at Leb. tonight, John will show you all how to change a flat with choppers on. He did such a fine job when the weather was warm, now he can tackle the cold. Have a good ride to all who go out tonight.:D

It wasn't that bad last night once I got my nostrils to stop freezing shut.

Did you stand in front of Bob's light to dethaw the nose?

Weather channel says high of 26 degrees at 6:00pm. Heat wave!!

Nope, put a couple of twigs in there sideways to hold them open.:crazy2:

Shoot.

Not sure if I'll make it down or not. I've got some pre-wife's birthday, running to get done. Maybe if I can do it quickly after work. Don't wait around for me though.

Ok, John should be a weatherman. TWC is now saying high of 20. So much for the heat wave.

I'm not thrilled but planning to show covered head to toe.

I was going to bring my kid but now won't push it with Mom. Maybe next time for him.

Another excellent ride, although definitely different than the previous ones. The bridges and teeter were a bit scary with the snow cover, but everything was doable.

How many showed? I could make up some excuse, but have none.

How many showed? I could make up some excuse, but have none.

Just four of us. Ted, John, Heath and me.

It was a little chilly getting started, but not bad at all once we got going. There was light snow cover, but enough dirt was showing to get a decent grip. Just a couple small icy spots.

None of us brought studded tires, but tiny studs like on Nokian extremes would have worked well. I would not recommend big homemade studs yet.

Yup, another great Thursday ride. Definitely a little shorter due to the cold, but still a lot of fun.

I can't believe I did it.. but I'm glad I did. Glad nobody got hurt on the slippery corners. I actually stayed pretty warm... maybe too warm.
